Have you ever been so nervous in the class? When you were nervous,
did you feel like your heart beats faster, your face turns white, your body
becomes wet, your throat is squeezing and you had nothing in your mind? Did you
feel as if you are the most stupid person in the world? If you say YES to all
those questions, then you have to read this essay entirely and follow every
step of solution. Avoiding nervous is not easy but it is not something
impossible, there are three important steps to decrease nervous and improve
your self-confidence.
First step is preparing, it is the
most essential part to do before you come into the class. It is one of the best
ways to avoid getting nervous in the class. First, you can start from yourself,
like make sure that you are getting enough sleep in the night and consuming a
healthy food so that you will wake up fresh in the morning, if you do not have
enough sleep probably you can get nervous. Then prepare some materials that
will be discussed in the class. Furthermore, you can browse or read a book to
learn it more deeply and you need to understand and organize the materials well.
Moreover, try to practice in front of a mirror if it is necessary.
Next step is having discussion with friends. Sometimes maybe you are
not confident with your preparation although you have prepared it well because
you still feel not ready enough, then you have to figure out the way to solve your
hesitation. In another time you want to answer your lecturer’s question in the
class but you are afraid or shy to answer because you think that your friend’s
answer is better than yours, so on the next meeting you should ask your friend’s
preparation and also you should share your argument with your friends before
the class starts. Therefore, having discussion with your friend can increase
your self-confidence in the class.
The last step, but not least, is you have to build a good
relationship with your lecturer. The key is Be a good person for every people.
Because everyone wants to be treated as well, then you have to be well behaved
towards every people, especially to your lecturer, so that your lecturer will
respect you. Moreover, doing all the assignments is an obligation for all
students and you have to do it as good as you can. Besides, you have to make a
good communication with your lecturer. For instance, when you faced
difficulties in the class but you were afraid to ask your lecturer, then it is
better to find your lecturer outside the class and asked him/her as much as you
want. Finally, the more you keep in touch with your lecturer, the more you feel
comfortable to argue with him/her and soon you will be accustomed to speak in
front of the class without any hesitation or even feeling of anxiety.
Everyone
must have experienced being nervous in the class, but it does not mean that we
can let it happen again and again. Once you feel you are very nervous and so
quite in the class, the next meeting you have to be more ready to get into the
class and you should do a small discussion with your friends before the class
because it will help you to stimulate your courage, and also do not forget to
always be a good friend to your lecturer. Eventually, you will be a
self-confidence person and you will surprisingly make yourself proud of the
new-you.
