Can college student manage their time wisely during the day? How many of them spending their time for positive activity? What kind of activity are they joining? There are various types of college students based on their time spend. The type of college student is characterized by time spent for studying independently‚ attending class‚ and socializing with peers.

                We can characterize the type of college students with some characteristics. One of the characteristic is from time spending to study autonomously‚ because the most important thing that must be done every day as a student is studying regularly. Studying is a process of learning something. Therefore‚ we cannot say that studying is only when students are doing their assignments or when listening and paying attention to the lecturer’s explanation in the class. Students can study everywhere‚ whether in campus‚ at home or in any other places. However‚ the other things that are more important than the place they study are the way their study -is it comfortable for them to study there? Can they enjoy studying there? -And the duration of our time spent to study –how long do they study during the day. It is important that the time to study is enough for them to understand and comprehend the subject learned.

                The type of college student can be characterized not only based on their time spent for studying but also from the quantity of attending class and participating in class activities. When someone attends the class‚ it means that he or she must be ready to involve in the activity of the class. He or she must prepare anything that is needed during the activity in the class‚ such as preparing the books‚ providing laptop if it is necessary‚ bringing dictionaries etc. A good college student has a good preparation before attending the class. Because a good preparation indicates that he or she has already studied and prepared anything that is needed before coming to the class. Therefor‚ preparation before attending relates with time spent for studying autonomously at home.

                The characteristic of college students also can be grouped based on their time spent to socialize themselves with their environments. It is about how someone socializes with his or her environment‚ especially with his or her friends‚ not only to his or her classmate but also anybody else outside the class. It influences the way he or she communicates in the class. Because usually someone who has many friends can socialize and communicate better than those who have just a few of friends. Hence‚ socializing with peers can help someone to have a better quality of communicating. Even it is indirectly done‚ socializing with peers can make someone more fluent in communication.

                There are some types of college students based on their most time spent in some activities during the day. Every activity must be related directly or indirectly to their study. Therefore‚ we need to choose an appropriate and good activity that can help us to encourage them to be a better student.
